| Greg and I have guests coming into town, so we went to Ikea to buy a futon for their comfort.
This is the futon we were planning to buy-

What we ended up getting were two 99 cent twisted ice cream cones. Worth the drive? Absolutely.
| My wanderlust is kicking back into high gear. I realized this a few evenings ago as Greg and I drove off in search of excellent Mexican food. We found it but I also discovered that I am officially done with Houston. Well at least for this week.
So what will come next for the Boles?
The top five cities as ranked by Greg and Erin last night are:
Seattle

Austin

Kansas City

Portland

San Diego

So which one do you vote for?
| Greg and I went to the U2 concert on Friday. It was great although I am still pondering if Bono is just a great showman or really cocky. The guy was like a god, move this way...people cheer, wave that way...people cheer even more. Interesting stuff. Another thing I noticed is how very diplomatic Bono is, he can be saying this is wrong and then he says but the people doing it are great. I was impressed, a very emotional show.
I have been absent from the world of Xanga because I got a new job. It is fun. I like it.
| Resumes are hell. Somehow I have always been lucky and obtained jobs without having to go through much of the normal hire process. But this time it all depends on the old resume. This is a lot of pressure. Besides the fact that most jobs ask for 5+ year's experience, I meet the requirements. Let's see if I can get a job now!
Referring back to Greg's post, when I heard about the T-shirt I was mortified. I couldn't believe that at someone else's bachelor party Greg and I were the brunt of the joke. Needless to say I wasn't too sad to see that one donated. I will enjoy it immensely though if a refugee wanders by our apartment, possibly on his way to the Gas Light Video Emporium in the Scorewiler t-shirt. That would be well worth the embarrassment it gave me when I first heard about it.
About the refugees, Greg's mother is quite concerned that I will be accosted by these wild folk when out walking Priest at night. We shall see.

Greg and I have this weird fascination with the musical, "Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street." It is a tragicomedy based on the legend/myth of a murderous barber who lived in 19th century London. Very goode and worth watching. That said; beware because the songs will be stuck in your head for a few weeks after you watch this musical. I woke up this morning with the opening song in my head and it has been playing on repeat ever since.
My little sister Ali, (who just graduated from high school) may be moving to Washington DC for 6 months to participate in an "internship" of sorts. According to her, the group she is working with is going to meet with politicians and pray a lot. I believe their main goal is to get abortion made illegal and get the country back to its roots. I asked her if that meant white protestant males would be the only ones who could vote again and she acted like I was silly. It will be an interesting experience if nothing else but I am a bit concerned that she will not be getting college credit for it and if this is the case she should consider it a mission trip... That is all I am going to say about this topic for now because I don't want to seem too negative about it.
Greg has started classes again which equals no time together during the week. We finished his last week of summer with a bang though. It was our 3rd anniversary and his birthday within 3 days. So we had a great last weekend together. He got me the most amazing book about Monet, as well as Sylvia Plath's "The Bell Jar." For his birthday he got Sports Illustrated...I swear this man is so hard to shop for. He never wants ANYTHING! At Christmas everyone asks me what to get him...I usually just say work clothes because he never will buy them for himself.:) He is a quirky guy, but that is what makes him so amazing.
